Each jurisdiction has its own notification system. Use the search bar on this page to locate your local system by county, city, or zip code. Click Select & Continue to visit your county's sign-up form.
2 Creating an Everbridge Community Profile

Each notification system only requires basic information such as your name and phone number. Complete the form, select the notifications you’re interested in, and click submit to begin receiving notifications.

Note: To stop receiving notifications, text STOP to any SMS or select Unsubscribe at the end of any email.

What is OR-Alert?

OR-Alert is Oregon’s statewide effort to ensure all 36 counties and tribal governments have access to emergency alert, warning, and notification (AWN) tools. It enables real-time sharing of hazard information and gives local emergency managers access to FEMA’s Integrated Public Alert & Warning System (IPAWS), which can send alerts to all cell phones in a designated area.

Where do I sign Up on Oralert.gov?

ORAlert.gov is a search tool to help you locate your local emergency alert system. After selecting your jurisdiction, you will be rerouted to the appropriate sign-up page.

You may also:

  • Visit your county sheriff or county emergency management website.
  • Download the Everbridge app and register directly.
  • Text your ZIP code to 888777 for anonymous, basic alerts.

Does this cost me anything?

Emergency alerts are free.

Standard text or voice rates may apply depending on your cell carrier.

Who sends the alerts?

Alerts are sent by official public safety and emergency management authorities at the local, county, tribal, and/or state level depending on the nature of the emergency.

What is Everbridge Community?

Everbridge Community is a centralized portal that enables you to manage your emergency communication preferences and profile settings across multiple public jurisdictions – through a single, streamlined interface.

Instead of logging into separate member portals for each tribe or county, you can now manage all profiles in one convenient location.

How do I create an Everbridge Community Profile?

From the sign in page, you can choose “Create Account” which will direct you to the Community Profile Sign Up page. Use either a phone number or email address to register. The system will text you a security code to the device of your choice to verify you as a user. What platform(s) are messages sent through?

The primary alerting system used in Oregon is Everbridge. Everbridge is in used by all 36 Oregon counties and some tribes

Can I reply to the alerts?

Generally, no, however the system may ask that recipients acknowledge receipt of the message. Messages may include instructions on ways to get additional help or more information.

What’s the best way to ensure I will receive alerts during an emergency?

The best way to ensure you are notified in an emergency is to sign up for alerts at ORalert.gov, at the county or tribal level, and/or download the Public Safety App. Another option is to text your zip code to 888777. Finally, you should always try to monitor local TV and/or radio outlets during an emergency.

Can I sign someone else up for Everbridge?

In order to protect the privacy of others, Everbridge Community will verify users via the phone number of email within the user profile. When registering for local tribe or county alerts, a single profile can register up to five addresses per contact profile, which means you can receive alerts at work, school, play, home and for loved one's locations.

Will Everbridge share my information?

Everbridge provides full control over privacy settings; you decide what information is shared and when, including your location, images and videos. This information will not be shared outside of Everbridge or the organization with which you have purposefully connected.
